A bit about my photography...
Though I've owned a camera of one sort or another most of my life, I didn't develop
a real interest in photography until I came into the Air Force in 1994, and was in
the midst of Technical Training. I got a nice point-and-shoot with a little zoom on
it. It did me well until I was in a small town in New Mexico, inside a pawn shop.
I saw an old Pentax Asahi that I fell in love with, then bought. The thing was
probably older than me, but it took great pictures. As time passed I bought a few
different lenses for it, including a $450 behemoth of a 60-300mm zoom lens made by
Tamron. After a while the shutter began sticking and messing up my pictures, so in
1997 I bought my Nikon N50. The Tamron lens is adaptable to different cameras, so
I got the right mount and saved my investment. In time, I upgraded to a brand new
killer 28-300mm autofocus zoom from Tamron. Crazy focal range, crazy lens. I love
it!
I've taken thousands of photographs. With lots of practice, I've honed my
talent for capturing the moment. I have a long way to go before I can call myself
a professional though -- even an amateur captures professional images now and then.
It's something I love, and it allows me to share a bit of myself with others.
Thanks for visiting this site, and I hope you enjoy browsing through my
photographs half as much as I enjoyed taking them!
